Beauty Is Filthy Rich ?
Saya pernah membaca sesuatu hal yang menarik tentang kecantikan :
“Beauty is filthy rich. Our society is still the same old capitalist society which is making woman’s beauty has value on the open market, where the most beautiful girl gets the richest man.”

Saya jadi berpikir bahwa mungkin sebetulnya dunia ini adalah ajang kontes kecantikan yang sebenarnya buat kita, para perempuan. Kita bersaing untuk mendapatkan hadiah utama yang selalu kita idam-idamkan : our prince charming – who gets all of us to think about the ‘live-happily-ever-after’ ending. Just like in a fairy tale.
But to win the contest, is it in the end, finally, only a matter of beauty ? Is it still the same world we used to live in decades before, where beauty RULES among other qualities ?
Is it always like what Franz Lebowitz said ?
The most beautiful girl gets the best and the most qualified man a.k.a the most ELIGIBLE man ?
Does beauty still rule ?
